This is one of the easy multiplication trick to multiply any 2 digit number with 11.

Example -1 : Lets Multiply 72 x 11


It can be solve easily with following steps, 

  • Step-1:  Separate two digits -  7   2

  • Step-2:  Add up two digits -      7+2 =9 

  • Step-3:  Place the answer in space between two digits -    792 

Ans : 72 x 11 = 792

Example -2 : Lets Multiply 57 x 11

  • Step-1:  Separate two digits -  5   7

  • Step-2:  Add up two digits -      5+7 = 12

  • Step-3:  Place the unit digit 2 in space between two digits -    527
         and take 1 as carry.  
  • Step-4 : Add 1 carry to 5, So it become 627            
Ans : 57 x 11 = 627
