Simplification

(Using Algebraic Formulas)

As we know that Simplification is most important topic in Quantitative Aptitude. So many competitive exams like RRB, SSC, IBPS, UPSC, CAT, CISF and other state level exams have simplification problems in Quantitative Aptitude section. These problems are easy to solve if you know the method of solution.

Here we have tried to provide you fast and easy trick for Simplification of Quantitative Aptitude with Examples.

Simplification of some problems looks are so difficult and takes more time to solve. These type of problems are based on Algebraic Identities. This type of problems can be solved easily by using some Algebraic formulas.

Some of important widely used Algebraic formulas are as below,

Let's understand how to use these Algebraic Formulas for solving simplification problems

Ex-1. Evaluate
           237 × 237+ 363 × 363+2 × 237 × 363.

Sol.
Given expression is of the form
   a2 + b2 + 2ab = (a + b)2
  237 × 237+ 363 × 363+2 × 237 × 363= (237 + 363)2
                              = (600)2
                              = 360000
